Music for Senior Citizens

GENERAL (The presentations will include the following):

• Informal presentations of music – to be adapted for the needs and interests of any group of Senior Citizens.

• Senior citizens will enjoy a cup of tea / coffee with light refreshments.

• Social singing form part of the presentations – depending on the group

• Music combined with the other arts will sometimes form part of these get togethers

TIMES FOR THESE GET TOGETHERS

• When a specific group, church, retirement centre etc contact EMA regarding presentations, a suitable time will be arranged between the organizer & the presenter.

• Dates & times, therefore - are adaptable

PRESENTATIONS: CONTENTS

(An example only):

• With the first presentation at Wonderboom, Pretoria, the presenter gave an overview on classical music.

• With the next visit, an overview was given about popular music from its beginning till more or less the 80’s (music of Elvis Presley and other well-known singers included).

• Other presentations included: Music for Women’s Day, Heritage Day, Christmas Day etc.

• A wide variety of topics will be discussed during these get togethers
